The Winnipeg Jets are a professional hockey team that play in the National Hockey League (NHL). Although the Jets left Winnipeg in 1996 after being in the city for nearly 25 years, they returned with a vengeance in 2011, and have since built a strong reputation as one of the league’s top teams.
The Winnipeg Jets sought to be first movers in the Facebook Augmented Reality space, in an effort to expand their digital footprint and provide more interactivity to fans.
EveryStudio participated in the closed beta for Facebook’s AR studio, allowing our company to learn the capabilities of the design and development software. The Facebook platform is a perfect fit for the Jets, as the majority of their target audience is present on the social media channel.
EveryStudio worked closely with the Winnipeg Jets to create a fully immersive fighter jet pilot helmet for fans to use when cheering on the home team. The Face Filter is fully responsive to a user's head movements, which trigger a variety of visual effects on the Filter. This level of interaction results in a deeper, more captivating experience for the user.
